Iced tea is one of the healthy alternatives as it has antioxidant and natural content with lower sugar. This factor is propelling the growth of the iced tea market. According to the report published by Tea Association USA in 2015, tea compounds such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), play an important role in the protection against cancer. According to the Tea Association of USA tea is the second most-consumed drink after water with around 80% of tea consumed in iced form. The increasing launch of a new product by key players is also fostering the growth of the market. For instance, Steaz introduced an iced tea without any sugar infused with passion and dragon fruit flavors, in addition to jasmine hibiscus with sweetened lime in 2017.

Also, the growing popularity of ready-to-drink teas in the region especially across countries such as China and India. According to the IBEF, the ready-to-drink (RTD) tea and coffee market in India were valued at US$ 404.95 million in 2017.

Iced tea sounds pretty strange, but trust me, it's not. Iced tea is a very common form of cold-brewed tea. While usually served at room temperature with ice, it could also refer to any tea which has been partially cooled or chill. In the United States, it is most often served at the end of a meal for a quick pick me up. However, it can also be a sweetener for cocktails, desserts, and other beverages.
